Which is more valuable?
A- Someone who tells you want you want to hear?
B- Someone who tells you what you need to hear?
I've always thought it was B but sadly I've been proven wrong more times than not the last couple of years and lost a few I considered friends ... none the less ... when dealing with me I'd prefer what I need even when it's not what I want to hear ..........

My Answer: Both
Truth without love can be hurtful. Love without truth can be deceitful. But when you speak the truth with love it is neither. Being willing to listen to truth with love when it is not what you want to hear is called a learning moment.

Then you would have loved to have seen me a month ago. Would have made you feel like a spring chicken. It's amazing what a couple of cadaver bones and a titanium plate can fix nowadays.

That's what was so bad about this time...I didn't do anything, just woke up with a crick in my neck that wouldn't go away. Doc said it could have been the leading with my head that caused the damage to the disks though.

Well I can speak from experience that when u hear what u need to it can sting pretty bad sometimes. Mikd over the last few years u have always told me what I needed to hear. At times it stung pretty hard but u were always right. U always told me it was tough love and even when it hurt I am very thankful for it. Not sure what this is about, but I, for one, feel a friend who tells u what u need to hear is a much better friend than one who just tells u what u want to hear. Its a hard road to take when u tell someone something u know will hurt them but they need to hear it. The true friends will respect what u say and be appreciative. The ones who aren't that close will get mad and go away.

Brad, you know how much I hate to admit it but I haven't been right all the time just seems that way when you've already made those same mistakes yourself .... I'm just glad I could help in some small way and even more so than you're finally happy ......

it is a perfect example of people that get told what they want to her not what they need to hear. a few people that were somewhat close to him (in his Memphis Mafia)tried to tell him that the drugs were killing him. He got rid of them. The others seeing that never said anything that he did not want to hear. the end.... he died on a toliet.

I wish Master Seiber wouldn't beat around the bush and just tell what you need to hear. Notice my blatant attempt at sarcasm. Like you all said it does sting but it's needed. Something he told me once still stands out in my mind. He told me once after watching me fight that i bored him to death. How's that for honesty. It made me want to strive harder. I miss you all . I haven't had time to work out in almost a month from having two girls playing sports. Hopefully things will slow down and can get back.

To the group. You might have cleared up the mis-understanding about air supply. But you clearly forgot the culture club stab... I think you should color your commnets like my dream

Hey, I noticed that we got a few comments on our little family night kumite utube vid ... One was from the Cobra Kai and not very complimentary (apparently we're not Isshinryu unless we are maiming each other), but the other I loved ... "Pretty Good for a Bunch of Old Guys" ... We should comment on the link that each of us aged 10 years after the match due to all the deadly dim mak isshinryu what was used during the match. I have not read thier commnets. But I will have to look it up when I need a good laugh. Remember, in the end....Sam I am changes his mind and does like Green eggs and ham. So I expect the end of your culture club rant is I do I do like Culture club sam I am.....

Just par for the course on utube .... I'm as guilty as the rest at seeing the faults in a video before looking for that silver lining .... but I'm working on it .... Sam ends up liking the ham and eggs? I knew I should have read the whole thing and not just looked at the pictures!!!!
